At Blueprint 1543 we are working to help sciency people become more integrated. Integrated people are those whose faith and professional work are seamlessly intertwined, enriching both aspects of their lives. We want to encourage growth in one’s personal faith and help motivate those in scientific careers to allow that faith to motivate and influence their work. Likewise, we want to inspire more theological-minded people of faith to adopt the tools of the sciences to enrich their scholarship and intellectual leadership within their faith communities. We believe that a world with more such integrated people in churches and in the science and tech fields is a world better positioned to address the big questions and challenges facing it.
Project Spotlight
At Blueprint 1543, we are dedicated to helping individuals whose faith and professional work are deeply intertwined. Ana Ávila is a prime example of the kind of integrated person we aim to nurture. Through her engagement in a rigorous program of coaching with Rebecca Dorsey, Vice President of Blueprint 1543, and human sciences training with Dr. Justin Barrett, President of Blueprint 1543, Ana has experienced profound personal and professional growth.
Rebecca’s coaching has been instrumental in helping Ana clarify her key professional goals and core values. This has allowed Ana to gain a deeper understanding of her unique calling and mission at the intersection of faith and science. The coaching has empowered her to integrate these insights into her day-to-day work, giving her greater focus and purpose in her contributions to the faith-science dialogue.

Equally transformative has been the training Ana has received under Dr. Barrett’s guidance. His human sciences training has broadened Ana’s capacity for engaging with the sciences in a nuanced and thoughtful way, equipping her to bring care, precision, and theological depth to her work. This training has enabled Ana to approach complex topics with a more refined perspective, further enriching her scholarship and strengthening her leadership in the faith community.
An exciting result of this partnership is that it has given Dr. Barrett the opportunity to expand his influence in Spanish-speaking contexts. He was interviewed in Spanish for Ávila’s podcast and is now in discussions to speak at a major conference in Latin America in the coming year. This partnership highlights how Blueprint 1543’s investment in individuals like Ana is not only advancing their personal growth but also expanding their impact in the broader Spanish-speaking world, where faith-science integration is gaining increasing attention.
